Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Anchorage, AK)

Westbrook Fern Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
