Operations Manager - process improvement (Virginia Beach, VA)

Northwind Iron Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for tooling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with work orders.
