Operations Manager - process improvement (Virginia Beach, VA)

Summit Thistle Construction is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
