Operations Manager - process improvement (Virginia Beach, VA)

Clearpath Meridian Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Virginia Beach. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
