Operations Manager - process improvement (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Vale Water Authority and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
