Operations Manager - process improvement (Tampa, FL)

Nova Beacon Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Tampa area. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Tampa, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
