Operations Manager - process improvement (Seattle, WA)

Bluepeak Forge Freight is a Seattle logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
