Operations Manager - process improvement (Savannah, GA)

Summit Umber Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Savannah. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with test reports. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
