Operations Manager - process improvement (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Ember Water Authority and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Track performance measures for pipe repairs and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
