Operations Manager - process improvement (San Diego, CA)

Rivermark Meridian Foods is a San Diego food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer specifications and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
