Operations Manager - process improvement (Sacramento, CA)

Stonegate Forge Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Sacramento. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
