Operations Manager - process improvement (Rochester, NY)

Stonegate Birch Farms grows and distributes produce from farms near Rochester. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for grower contracts and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester. • We reply to every applicant.
