Operations Manager - process improvement (Richmond, VA)

Cedar Vista Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
