Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Cedar Timber Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for scrap and rework, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
