Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Boston, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
