Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Fernwood Lakeside Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Wichita region, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 887 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for packing house output and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
