Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Westbrook Fern Freight is a Columbus logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 39 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
