Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Amberfield Umber Foods Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for cold storage, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
