Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Ember Manufacturing and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 29 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
