Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Silverline Sable Manufacturing Associates manufactures parts and assemblies at its Boston plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 419 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
