Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Lumen Forge Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We reward reliability. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
