Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Fernwood Manufacturing Group is a Columbus manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Columbus. • We reply to every applicant.
