Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Highbridge Orchard Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Hartford working with agencies and riders. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
