Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Westbrook Forge Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around San Diego, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 882 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
