Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Bright Harbor Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Oakland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
