Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Ironwood Granite Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Jacksonville and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 748 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jacksonville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
