Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Westbrook Ridge Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for New Orleans and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
