Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

We are growing our team at Lumen Orchard Farms Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. Weather sets the schedule, and we plan around it. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for harvest schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
