Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Amberfield River Manufacturing Group is a Madison manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with production lines. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
