Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

Foxglove Orchard Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Oakland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
