Operations Manager - process improvement (remote)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Fern Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Indianapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
