Operations Manager - process improvement (Raleigh, NC)

Foxglove Hollow Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
