Operations Manager - process improvement (Providence, RI)

Amberfield Ember Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Providence and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
