Operations Manager - process improvement (Portland, OR)

We are growing our team at Summit Forge Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Portland. What you will do • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We reply to every applicant.
