Operations Manager - process improvement (Portland, OR)

Bluepeak Harbor Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Portland with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
