Operations Manager - process improvement (Portland, OR)

Westbrook Pike Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Portland and nearby communities. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 873 people based in Portland. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Portland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
