Operations Manager - process improvement (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Westbrook Ivory Inspection Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a large organisation of about 365 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for certifications and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
