Operations Manager - process improvement (Oakland, CA)

Northwind West Transit Planning Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
