Operations Manager - process improvement (Oakland, CA)

Northwind Loom Auto Group is a Oakland company supplying vehicle parts and service. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 33 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer estimates and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with service appointments. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
