Operations Manager - process improvement (New Orleans, LA)

Summit Pine Manufacturing manufactures parts and assemblies at its New Orleans plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
