Operations Manager - process improvement (New Orleans, LA)

Foxglove Cedar Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in New Orleans with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
