Operations Manager - process improvement (Madison, WI)

Fernwood Quill Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Madison design routes and schedules, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
