Operations Manager - process improvement (Las Vegas, NV)

Bright Fern Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Las Vegas. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Las Vegas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
