Operations Manager - process improvement (Knoxville, TN)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing is a Knoxville manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 180 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with work orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
