Operations Manager - process improvement (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Quarry Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Indianapolis with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
