Operations Manager - process improvement (Indianapolis, IN)

Clearpath Meridian Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Indianapolis. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
