Operations Manager - process improvement (Hartford, CT)

Nova Union Inspection Services Group provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Hartford, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our process improvement. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for test reports and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with equipment calibration. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
