Operations Manager - process improvement (Hartford, CT)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Quarry Farms and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 16 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
