Operations Manager - process improvement (Grand Rapids, MI)

Highbridge Rook Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Grand Rapids region. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on process improvement. You would join a small organisation of about 148 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with materials orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
