Operations Manager - process improvement (Fresno, CA)

Fernwood Iron Auto Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on process improvement for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 457 people based in Fresno. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for parts orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Fresno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
